According to §9 of the Medical Devices Operator Ordinance (MPBetreibV) in conjunction with the Guideline of the German Medical Association for Quality Assurance of Laboratory Medical Examinations (Rili-BÄK), you are obligated to quality assurance when using SARS CoV-2 antigen rapid tests in test centers.
With the MedRhein KG04 control swab, this verification is very simple: First, you use the red (positive) swab, follow the normal test procedure by adding it to the solution. You then add the solution to the test cassette as usual. The result should be positive. Then repeat the procedure with a new test cassette containing the control swab in the blue packaging; the result should now be negative. Thus, you have randomly checked your test batches quickly and easily.
